Frequently Asked Questions about Splash Mountain Water Park
Is there an admission charge for the Waterpark?
Yes. Everyone who enters Splash Mountain is required to pay the
admission price that pertains to him or her even if they are not
swimming or sliding.
Do I have to pay to come in and watch my child or sit with the rest of my group?
Yes. Everyone who enters Splash Mountain is required to pay the
admission price that pertains to him or her even if they are not
swimming or sliding.
Do my children have to be supervised while in the park?
Splash Mountain does not require that an adult supervise children in the
Waterpark. Although our staff is fully trained and certified to
supervise the park, we do urge that smaller children, especially, are
accompanied and supervised by a competent older person. If parents wish
to leave their older children unsupervised, we do suggest, that in the
event of inclement weather or a medical emergency that they have a way
to contact a responsible adult.
Is there a separate fee for tubes and chairs?
No. Splash Mountain does not believe in adding additional costs to your
admission. Tubes and chairs are always available free of charge to our
Guests on a first-come-first-served basis.
Can I bring my pet into the park?
Pets of any kind are not permitted on the grounds of the Jolly Roger.
Service animals for the physically challenged, of course, are always
welcomed. We would also like to remind our guests that you should not
leave your pets in your vehicle, as this can be a severe health risk for
your pet, and is also in violation of Ocean City Ordinances.
Do I need to wear a swimsuit in the waterpark?
Yes. Proper swimming attire is required. We do not allow street clothes
or cut-off pants or jeans on the slides or in the pools. A swimsuit is
not necessary if you will not be sliding or swimming.
Are changing rooms, showers, and lockers available?
Yes. There are two bathhouses with changing facilities, showers, and coin operated lockers.
May I bring a cooler into the park?
Yes, coolers are welcome in the park. You may not, however, bring in
alcoholic beverages or glass containers. Park personnel reserve the
right to inspect all coolers for these items.
Can I bring in floats, water wings, or life preservers for my children?
Splash Mountain does not allow Guests to bring inflatable floats in to
the park. U.S. Coast Guard approved life preservers can be brought in as
long as they do not have any metal fasteners. Water wings may be used
in the Kiddie pools only. Splash Mountain has approved life jackets for
use by our Guests free of charge while in the waterpark.
My child is over 42 inches tall and was charged full price but can't ride everything. Why is that?
Splash Mountain charges children full price at 42 inches tall since at
that height, a child can swim in the Wave Pool, and still participate in
the kids' activities and ride all slides except Cannonball as well.
Do you offer a Season Pass?
Yes. Splash Mountain offers a season pass, which may be bought either in

Do you offer a discount for Senior Citizens?
Yes, Senior Citizens who are 55 years of age and older receive a discount off Adult Pricing.
Can I smoke in the waterpark?
Although Splash Mountain does not encourage smoking in the park, it is
not prohibited except in the buildings, queue lines, rides, and pools.
We ask, however, that if you must smoke, please be considerate of our
other Guests who do not.

Do you have rides for children?
The Jolly Roger prides itself on being Ocean City's premier Family
Amusement Park. As such, we offer rides and attractions for Guests of
all ages.
What rides are available to me with my physical/mental challenge?
The Jolly Roger attempts to make all our rides accessible to our Guests
with physical and mental challenges. It must be understood, however,
that the design or motion of some rides make them unsafe for guests with
such limitations. Please check with Guest Services during your visit
for more information on which rides may or may not be suitable for you.
I am planning on bringing a group. Do you offer Group Rates?
Group rates are available for parties of 25 or more who make
arrangements in advance. Contact our Group Sales Specialists at
410-289-4902 for more information, or fill out the Group Questionnaire and we will have someone contact you.
What about smoking?
Smoking is prohibited in all buildings, queue lines, and rides in the park.
Do you serve alcoholic beverages?
The park does not sell alcoholic beverages, and they are not permitted on the grounds or parking lot.
Are there rides restrictions?
For your Safety, all rides have height, age, weight, and/or size
restrictions. We ask that you check the safety signage at each ride for
its specific restrictions
How long should I plan to stay at Jolly Roger?
That all depends on you. Because there is no admission fee to enter and
you can pay-as-you-go, you may feel free to come in and stay as long as
you like, leave for a bit and come back later. Passport to Fun Cards and
the points on them are good any time and do not expire.
Do I need to buy my Passport to Fun Card in advance?
Although it is not necessary, Passport to Fun Cards may be purchased in
advance by using our secure online store. No need to wait in lines and

Do I have to pay to accompany my child on the children's rides?
Yes. Everyone getting on any ride at Jolly Roger Amusement Park must
have a Passport to Fun Card with the proper number of points for that
ride.

Are there any rides for my small children?
Yes, we have 2 children's tracks: the Kiddie Track and the Skittlebugs.

Are there any tracks on which I can drive my child and do we both have to pay?
Children who do not meet the height restrictions can ride with an older child or adult free of charge on the Family Track.

Can my child ride if they're only 1/2 inch shorter than the posted requirements?
No. All age and height requirements are for the safety of our Guests. A
driver who does not meet the requirements may not be able to properly
operate the accelerator and brake pedals or be able to adequately see
where they are going.
Is my Jolly Roger Passport to Fun Card good another day?
Passport to Fun Cards and the points on them do not expire and can be used anytime.
With the Unlimited Ride Passport to Fun Card, can I leave and return?
You may leave and return if you wish.
How long does a ride last?
All rides run on a timed system with 3-minute heats except for the
Formula One Track, which is sold on a by-the-lap basis with a 3-lap
minimum.
Do I have to wear the seatbelts?
Yes, for your safety State Rides Regulations and our insurance requires
all riders to be properly secured by seatbelts at all times while they
are in the cars.
Are the cars and tracks safe?
Yes. Speedworld prides itself on having the safest and best maintained
facilities and cars that can be found anywhere. All of the tracks
undergo constant maintenance and inspection to ensure their safety, and
each of our over 300 cars are stripped down inspected part by part and
rebuilt every year as well as given a pre-opening safety check every
day. In addition the Maryland State Department of Licensing and
Regulation Amusement Ride Safety Inspection Division inspects each car
and track before being opened for the season and several times during
the season.
